BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy
Seb, is a highly skilled, passionate and thorough Sports Therapist. He gained his degree in Sports Therapy this year and has worked in a large variety of professional settings from health clubs to sports teams and currently works in high level Basketball, Football and Weightlifting. He specialises in rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. He is passionate about getting people back to doing the activities they love whether that be playing with kids, walking with friends or competiitive sports.
Seb's passion began working as a personal trainer working with clients from a varied background and varied age range. He currently trains clients with tendinopathies, low back pain and knee osteoarthritis, as well as, clients with diabetes, COPD and emphysema. These experiences have given Seb a unique understanding of how to allow people to exercise and do the things they love while managing and rehabilitating their injury/condition.
During his time working in sport he has a successfully treated injuries in all parts of the body from long standing neck, back and shoulder pain, to acute ankle, knee and hip injuries. He guides them back to full health and performance while maintaining their health and fitness levels. Seb always treats every single person as a unique individual and believes in a whole-body approach that is tailored to your individual needs and wants. He aims to avoid ‘medicalising’ you by making his care plans unique, fun, engaging, effective and most importantly working towards your goals. He always wants to find the underlying cause and not just treat the symptoms.
Seb has expert handling skills in a variety of soft tissue therapies, joint mobilisations and carefully devised strengthening programs. He always keeps you in the loop at all times during the rehabilitation, aiming to help you understand the process and give you tools to manage your own condition. He believes in the power of prevention and is always looking to see what can be done to prevent future injuries.
Having competed and been afflicted with injuries in many sports such as Tennis, Rugby, Running and currently Olympic Weightlifting, Seb has a real sense of empathy and understanding for what you are going through. He uses this knowledge and empathy to give you the best experience possible at Physio2Live.
