What is Gait Analysis?

Gait Analysis is the study of human motion, looking at how we walk and move. Why choose Physio2Live for gait anlaysis? We use the latest advancements in techonology, such as, the RS Footscan and treadmill videography of your gait cycle. What does a gait analysis assessment involve?

We can accurately analyse your gait cycle from how you stand, walk and run using the RS Footscan. Our computerized system is the same used by Sir Mo Farrah and Paula Radcliffe. Firstly, you will stand on the pressure plate, which will highlight how your stand and centre of mass. Then, we can look at your dynamic foot mechanics from heel strike as you foot contacts the ground, through too toe off, giving us an in depth of the underneath surface and forces through your feet when walking and running, often not visible to the human eye. Also, during our full mechanics review we can analyse your strength and muscle length.
